The GTA 6 map: the state of Leonida
Leonida is the state where GTA VI takes place: Rockstar’s version of Florida, featuring Vice City as its major metropolis and five other regions ranging from the Grassrivers swamps to the Leonida Keys. The community estimates the map to be between one and a half and two times the size of GTA V’s—the largest in the series to date.
Our interactive map features more than 1,600 locations marked based on the trailers and official material. Each region has its own guide listing confirmed and rumored locations, as well as key spots:
Vice City
Vice City is the main metropolis of GTA VI and the heart of Leonida State. Inspired by Miami, it boasts the highest urban density on the map: Art Deco beaches, skyscrapers, nightlife, and a bustling port. As the capital of Vice-Dale County, it is the epicenter of the story and the largest location in the game.
Region guide →Leonida Keys
The Leonida Keys are the tropical archipelago in GTA VI located south of Leonida, inspired by the Florida Keys: small islands connected by bridges over turquoise waters. Rockstar describes them as “the gateway to paradise,” with “beautiful and dangerous” waters. This is where Jason Duval, one of the main characters, lives at the beginning of the story.
Region guide →Grassrivers
Grassrivers is the wetland region of GTA VI, inspired by Florida's Everglades. It occupies the southwestern part of Leonida and features swamps, slow-moving rivers, mangroves, and flooded plains. Rockstar calls it “the untamed jewel in Leonida’s crown” and warns: “Alligators are the most famous attraction.” It is the most hostile natural environment on the map.
Region guide →Port Gellhorn
Port Gellhorn is Leonida’s forgotten coastline: once a tourist destination, it is now home to cheap motels, closed attractions, and empty shopping malls. Rockstar portrays it without romanticism, sustained by “cheap beer, painkillers, and gas station energy drinks.” It’s the darkest and most authentic side of rural Florida off the beaten path.
Region guide →Ambrosia
Ambrosia is the industrial city in GTA VI, the capital of Ambrosia County in northeastern Leonida, located on the shores of Lake Leonida. Its economy revolves around the Allied Crystal sugar refinery. Rockstar sums it up ironically: “The refinery gives you a job; the biker club gives you almost everything else.” It includes a plot involving corporate takeover of local power.
Region guide →Mount Kalaga National Park
Mount Kalaga National Park is the mountainous region in northern Leonida in GTA VI: forests, rivers, canyons, and wildlife. It is the only high-altitude setting on the map, a creative license taken with the Florida plains. Described as “wild country,” it offers hunting, fishing, and off-road trails, and its remote corners are home to “mystical rednecks and paranoid radicals.”
