Leonida vs Florida: GTA 6 places in real life

Of the 17 GTA 6 places we've logged in the official videos, 6 have a real-life counterpart with a source: the Hotel Dixon is Ocean Drive's Hotel Victor (Miami Beach), Grassrivers is the Everglades and The Keys is the Overseas Highway. The rest have no clear match, and we say so.

    Leonida vs Florida: FAQ

Which real hotel is the Hotel Dixon in GTA 6?

The Hotel Victor, at 1144 Ocean Drive in Miami Beach, according to Daniel Ciraldo of the Miami Design Preservation League, speaking to Axios after Trailer 1.

Where is Vice City in real life?

Vice City is Rockstar's take on Miami. Trailer 1 shows real places such as South Beach's Art Deco hotels, the MacArthur causeway and Brickell.

    Is Grassrivers the Everglades?

Yes, according to the press (Axios, ABC7): it's the game's version of the Everglades. The map pin is the Everglades National Park main entrance, in Homestead.

Does the "Closest to me" button send my location?

No. It only works if you press it, and the distance is calculated in your browser. Your position isn't sent to our server or stored.

Why don't some places have a real counterpart?

Because no reputable source has identified one. Places like Hamlet, Effluvia or Brian's Boat Works are made up, or their real model is unknown, and we'd rather not guess.
