Inspired by Miami, it boasts the highest urban density on the map: Art Deco beaches, skyscrapers, nightlife, and a bustling port. As the capital of Vice-Dale County, it is the epicenter of the story and the largest location in the game.
What Is Vice City in GTA VI?
Vice City returns in GTA VI—not as a tribute to the 2002 classic, but as a complete reinvention on a next-gen scale. Rockstar’s official description makes it clear: we’re still “a long way from the ’80s,” but Vice City remains the capital of sunshine and excess in America. Corruption and the contrast between wealth and poverty remain central themes, with 21st-century Miami serving as the backdrop.
What Did We See in the Trailers?
Trailer 1 (December 2023) presented Vice City as a vibrant city: jet skis on South Beach, skyscrapers at sunset, the harbor area with cranes, late-night dive bars, and protesters in the streets. Trailer 2 (January 2025) expanded on this vision with chases along elevated highways, helicopters flying over the skyline, and luxurious interiors.
Which neighborhoods have been confirmed?
Rockstar has confirmed Ocean Beach (the visual icon, inspired by South Beach), Washington Beach, and Little Cuba (a Caribbean-style neighborhood reminiscent of Little Havana). Other areas are shown in the trailers—docks, a Wynwood-style arts district—but their official names have not yet been released. The Malibu Club appears as a nod to the venue from the original Vice City.
