To start GTA 6 on November 19 without drama: have a PS5 or an Xbox Series X|S, pre-order before November 20 if you want the Vintage Vice City Pack, free up disk space and pre-load from the 12th. Rockstar hasn't said anything about the first missions, so there are no "first hour tips" here, only what is actually useful today. Once the game is out, this guide grows.

1. Console: PS5 (Pro included) or Xbox Series X|S. If you have a PS4, an Xbox One or only a PC, you won't be playing on the 19th.

2. Edition: the Standard is the full game; the Ultimate ($20 more, digital only) adds vehicles, weapons, clothing, shops and an extra mission. None of the story is locked out of the Standard.
