GTA 6: With 4 months to go until its release, there’s still no actual gameplay, no price for online play, and no PC release date. Here’s what Rockstar still hasn’t revealed.

GTA 6 is coming on November 19, 2026 to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S, and there are now less than four months to go until that date. Rockstar has released two trailers, about 60 official screenshots, and the game’s cover art. And yet, there are still huge gaps in what we know. A recent roundup by GTA Boom lists everything the company hasn’t yet revealed about GTA 6, and the list is longer than it seems at first glance.

Actual gameplay: the big missing piece

Neither the first trailer nor the second—filmed entirely on PS5—shows any actual gameplay. Everything released so far is footage captured in the game’s graphics engine, shot with a cinematic camera and lacking anything you’d see while actually playing. There’s no on-screen interface or menus, the mission structure remains a mystery, and at no point does a character under the player’s direct control appear. Rockstar did the same with each of its recent major releases, so the strategy comes as no surprise. But with four months to go until launch, that absence is starting to weigh on fan discussions.

Map, Price, and Online: The Three Black Holes

There’s also no official size for the Leonida map. Not a single figure in square kilometers, nor a direct comparison to the GTA V map—something Rockstar did reveal at the time for other releases. The only number circulating—a maximum of 32 players online simultaneously—doesn’t come from Rockstar but from court documents, so it doesn’t count as official confirmation.

The online mode also has no confirmed release date, format, or pricing model. It’s unclear whether it will launch on the same day as the game, if it will cost extra, or if it will follow the seasonal model of GTA Online. Given how much revenue that mode generates for Take-Two, the silence doesn’t seem like an oversight.

Jason, Lucia, and the Rest of the Cast

For Jason and Lucia, there’s a trailer, official artwork, and even the game’s cover. As for the rest of the cast, nothing at all. Rockstar hasn’t confirmed a single supporting character, nor has it explained how switching characters during gameplay will work—a feature that was central to the gameplay in GTA V. Support for mods or a creator platform remains just as absent: neither confirmed nor denied.

The PC Version: The Confirmed Exception

Here, at least, there’s one certainty—even if it’s the one part of the community likes the least: the PC version won’t be available on launch day, and Rockstar hasn’t provided a release date for it.

ItemStatus 4 months before launch
Actual gameplay (interface, menus)Not shown
Map sizeUnconfirmed
Online: date and priceUnconfirmed
Supporting castNot revealed
Character switchingNo details
Mod supportUnconfirmed
PC versionNo date, not available on launch day

None of this is a leak: it’s literally what Rockstar has decided not to reveal yet. And silence is also a strategy. Every month without actual gameplay is a month of theories, frame-by-frame comparisons, and free map calculations on social media—all without the company having to announce anything new: it acts as its own countdown. The closer November 19 gets, the more noise that void makes. What’s been confirmed covers everything that’s actually on the table as of today; the rest remains a well-calculated silence.
