GTA 6 hides a real Miami subway line: here's what the mysterious Metro Mule is like

@srd

GTA 6 features a real subway system in Vice City: Fans are piecing together the "Metro Mule" theory by cross-referencing Trailer 2, the 2022 leak, and a hidden logo in GTA Online.

GTA 6 might hide a real subway system within Vice City, and fans have just pieced together the evidence to prove it. The clue has been right under our noses for years: a faded logo on a vehicle in GTA Online, a massive leak, and now a scene from Trailer 2.

The GTA 6 Metro Mule: What Fans Have Found

It all started with X user @ali_hld13, who pieced together three pieces of evidence. First: in 2018, the Arena War update for GTA Online added the Nightmare Scarab, a vehicle with a worn-out logo that reads “Vice City MetroMule.” Second: the massive GTA 6 leak from 2022 already mentioned this transportation system. Third, and most conclusive: Trailer 2 shows, in the background above downtown Vice City, elevated tracks with a train running along them.

According to the theory, it would be an automated (driverless) and FREE train, modeled after Miami’s real-life MetroMover: an elevated rail system that connects the city center, distinct from the traditional underground subway.

Was Rockstar inspired by Miami’s MetroMover?

Everything points to yes. Leonida is the fictional version of Florida, and Vice City is its own version of Miami, so a mode of transportation modeled after the real MetroMover fits with Rockstar’s obsession with detail. Even the Nightmare Scarab logo itself resembles that of the real system.

Will Jason and Lucia be able to use it?

Here’s the catch. Neither Trailer 1 nor Trailer 2 shows Jason or Lucia riding the Metro Mule—it only appears in the background, as part of the scenery. Fans have already drawn parallels with Cyberpunk 2077, where CD Projekt Red promised a playable subway system in its trailers that ended up being nothing more than window dressing, inaccessible in the final game.

Note: None of this has been confirmed by Rockstar. It’s a community theory based on clues, not an official announcement. It could remain just background scenery or become a real mode of transportation within the Leonida map. For now, we won’t know for sure until November 19, 2026, when GTA 6 arrives on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Do you think Rockstar will let Jason and Lucia board the Metro Mule, or will it remain just a prop like in Cyberpunk 2077? 👇
