GTA 6 South Park episode shows new gameplay clip

It is a short scene in which the player, as Jason, hits a non-player character over the head with what a dog left behind on the beach. According to Insider Gaming, a video game news site, the episode aired on Wednesday night on Comedy Central, and a woman shows the scene to Cartman, Kyle, Stan and Randy Marsh as they sit around a table. The non-player character picks up after his dog, the player throws something at him, he turns around to confront the player and takes the hit. Straw, who wrote the story, admits it is not the biggest reveal, but says it fits the humour of the show.

According to Insider Gaming, yes: Rockstar Games is thanked in the credits of the episode. Straw repeated it on his X account, @MikeStrawMedia, and presents it as the detail that ends doubts about the clip. The sources include no statement from Rockstar or Take-Two Interactive, and none of them links the original episode. The confirmation therefore comes only through Straw.

GTA 6 is a regular topic this season of South Park, according to Insider Gaming. Episodes cite its release as the moment things will get better in America, a pointed jab at how many people feel about the country, with elections on November 3. The game launches on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, according to Rockstar Games. Rockstar set that date on November 6, 2025, when it moved the launch from May 26, 2026.

In practice, little for now, but the clip shows one concrete interaction: the player provokes a non-player character and he reacts before getting hit. Insider Gaming gives no details on controls, weapons or systems, so one scene is not enough to infer mechanics. It does show who the player controls: Jason, the protagonist Rockstar introduced in Trailer 2 on May 6, 2025. Official gameplay has so far come through Rockstar's own channels: An Extended Look, 26:48 of footage recorded on PS5, premiered on August 27, 2026 on Netflix, and the launch trailer came out on October 15, 2026. There is no confirmation from Rockstar or the network about where the clip comes from. Straw cites the credits, but the sources do not include the full episode to check them. It is also unknown whether the scene comes from a build close to the final game. Rockstar or Comedy Central could clear it up; until then, the claim rests on Insider Gaming.
