Who is Loony in GTA 6?
Loony is a name heard in An Extended Look (August 27, 2026) at 17:36, in the Bayside scene. The official subtitles run: "Yo, Jay! What's happening, baby?", "What's up, man?" and right after, "Loony! What's up, girl?" There's nothing more: the subtitles don't show who greets whom or what Loony looks like.
What happens in that scene?
After the chase, Jason and Lucia head back to Bayside and are offered a look around. The scene is a mix of street ambience: a dance instruction is heard ("Elbows in tight, you wanna thrust!"), someone shouts "Ass up! Booty, booty, booty, twerk!" and more greetings follow. It's an example of the dialogue-carrying NPCs you meet walking around town, like the Hammer Lady.
What other loose names are heard in the Extended Look?
Rockstar scatters names that are spoken only once. We list them here for anyone searching:
- Tina. At 19:35 you hear "Hey! There is a sight for sore eyes. Tina! What's up, chula?" followed by "Andrés! It's been forever, how is everything?" Nobody clarifies who Tina is. Some fan sites read it as a second name for Val; the video doesn't say.
- Jimmy Canto. He's the dead friend in an anecdote a character tells Jason (12:08-12:11): "Jimmy Canto stayed on. Cracked his head open. Died that night." It's a story about a carousel; the character never appears.
Is Loony the same as some wiki character?
We couldn't tie the name to any official profile. Fan wikis that list it only repeat the name from the video.
What is still unknown?
- Looks, voice, and whether she's a standalone character or an NPC cameo.
- Who greets whom in each case.
