GTA VI: Price, Editions, and Pre-Order Bonus

When did pre-orders for GTA VI start, and how much does it cost?

Pre-orders for GTA VI have been open since June 25, 2026 (at 12:00 a.m. local time). The Standard Edition costs €79.99 and the Ultimate Edition €99.99, as confirmed by Rockstar on June 24, 2026. Pre-ordering before the November 19 release includes the Vintage Vice City Pack. That’s all that’s been confirmed so far.

Prices and Editions

Rockstar has only announced two editions, both of which are digital:

The base game’s €79.99 price tag sets a new ceiling for AAA titles in Europe. It’s not cheap, but there are no hidden surprises either: what you see is what you pay for, and the extra content in the Ultimate Edition is entirely optional.

Where can you pre-order GTA VI?

Pre-orders are available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at four locations:

• PlayStation Store (digital, PS5)
• Microsoft Store (digital, Xbox Series X|S)
• Rockstar Games Store (digital)
• Physical stores such as MediaMarkt (boxed copy with code)

The difference is purely practical (if you want a boxed copy to give as a gift, go to a physical store; if you want to download it and be done with it, go digital).

What does the pre-order bonus include?

Pre-ordering before November 20, 2026 gets you the Vintage Vice City Pack. Here’s what’s included:

• 1955 Vapid Stanier + a garage to store it in.
• Vintage clothing and hairstyles for Lucia and Jason.
• "Tommy Vercetti" weapon blueprint (a nod to classic Vice City).
• 1 month of GTA+ included.

It’s a cosmetic touch—nothing that alters the story. But if you’re going to buy the game anyway, pre-ordering before that date effectively makes it free: the content is a gift for ordering early.

What does the Ultimate Edition add for an extra €20?

The Ultimate Edition (€99.99) adds quite a bit more garage junk compared to the Standard Edition:

• Grotti Cheetah Classic and Vapid Dominator Buggy (with their garage).
• Weapons, outfits, and exclusive tattoos.
• Safe-house vehicles and exclusive in-game shops.
• A collection of classic cars.

It’s all cosmetic: it doesn’t affect the campaign or unlock missions. If you love collecting cars and customizing them to the max from the very first minute, the extra €20 makes sense. Is there a physical collector’s edition?

Time to temper your expectations: no collector’s edition has been announced as of today. What’s circulating on forums is just rumor, based on the fact that GTA V did have a special box set with a map, cap, and other goodies. It’s plausible that Rockstar might release something similar, but until they officially confirm it, it doesn’t exist.

Preloading starting on November 12 is key if you’re buying the digital version: you’ll download the game ahead of time, and at 12:00 a.m. on the 19th, you can start playing right away without having to wait for a file tens of gigabytes in size to download while everyone else is overloading the servers.

Does the physical box come with a disc?

No. The boxed edition includes a download code, not a disc with the game. You’ll need an internet connection to download it, just like with the digital version.

How long do I have to get the Vintage Vice City Pack?

You have until November 20, 2026. If you pre-order before that date, the pack is yours; after that, it’s no longer available.

Is the Ultimate Edition worth the extra cost?

Only if you care about the cosmetic extras (classic cars, outfits, tattoos). It doesn’t change the campaign or give you any real advantage: in terms of playable content, the Standard Edition is identical.
