THE DICE DUEL
Lucia 🎲 Jason
Lucia, Jason, one table and 18 dice. Pick your side and place every roll into one of your 3 columns: MATCHING dice in a column multiply (2-2-2 scores 18) — but if your rival plays that same number across from you, yours get DESTROYED. When one board fills up, highest score wins. ONE ranked match a day — and every match scores SEASON points: #1 on November 19 wins a surprise.
How to play
- Pick your side: Lucia or Jason. The other one sits across the table (played by the house, same policy for everyone).
- Alternating turns, you go first: roll 1 die and place it in one of your 3 columns (each column holds 3 dice).
- Each column scores the sum of its dice, but MATCHES multiply: each value v with n copies scores v×n². A 4-4 is 16 points; 2-2-2 is 18; 6-6-6 is 54.
- DESTRUCTION is the key: place a die of value v in your column and ALL dice of value v in the rival's facing column vanish. A 5-5 column (20 points) dies to a single 5 of yours.
- The match ends the moment one player fills their 9-dice board. Highest total wins — so filling fast is a weapon too.
- ONE ranked match per day per account. The table resets at Spanish midnight. Dice are rolled by the server, PER PLAYER (sharing rolls is useless); the CPU plays identically for everyone.
- Daily leaderboard by MARGIN of victory + your percentile when you finish (“Top 14% today”).
- SEASON: every duel scores points (winning pays 10 + margin/2 up to 30; tying 5; losing 2). Points add up until November 19 — GTA VI launch day — and #1 wins a SURPRISE. Plus XP per match and win streaks.
FAQ
What is THE DICE DUEL?
Leonida Bay's daily game: a tactical dice duel between Lucia and Jason, GTA VI's protagonists. Place every roll on your 3×3 board, stacking matches for multipliers and destroying your rival's columns. One match a day, 1-3 minutes.
How do matching dice score?
Each value multiplies by the square of its copies in the column: a lone die scores its face; two of a kind score 4× the face (4-4 = 16); three of a kind, 9× (2-2-2 = 18, 6-6-6 = 54 — the perfect column).
How does destruction work?
The boards face each other column against column. Place a die of value v in your column and every die of value v your rival has in THAT column disappears. Stacking 5-5-5 scores big… and paints a huge target: one rival 5 wipes it out.
Who am I playing against? Is it fair?
The house: whichever character you don't pick, moved by a fixed policy identical for every player. Your dice are rolled server-side with a per-player, per-day sequence — nobody can peek at the next die or copy your match.
Where's the skill if dice are luck?
In WHERE you place each die: stack for multipliers or spread to avoid painting targets? Save the column facing their 6-6 pair for the kill? Fill your board fast to end the match while ahead? The roll is luck; the placement is the game.
What is the SEASON and what do I win?
Every daily duel scores points: winning pays 10 + half your margin (up to 30); tying 5; losing 2. Points accumulate from July until November 19, 2026 (GTA VI launch day). Whoever leads the board that day wins a SURPRISE from Leonida Bay. Standings live on the ranking page.
Do I need an account? Does it cost anything?
A free Leonida Bay account and nothing else: no payments, no cash prizes. You play for the leaderboard, the win streak, the XP and the season surprise. Takes a minute to create.
Do Lucia and Jason play differently?
No: picking a side is pure style. Rules, dice and the rival's policy are identical either way. Each one does roll the dice with their own animation, though.
