T-Pain Confirms He's in GTA VI and That Rockstar Banned Him from Doing Something Very Strange (And Here Are the Other Celebrities in the Game)

T-Pain has been working on GTA VI for over a year... and Rockstar banned him from playing the game. Then he bought the company that makes the game. We take a look at the confirmed and rumored celebrities: from Travis Scott to DJ Khaled.
Which celebrities will be in GTA VI? So far, the only one who has confirmed it in person is T-Pain: he said he’s been working with Rockstar on the game for over a year. Beyond that, it’s all more or less juicy rumors: Travis Scott, DJ Khaled, ScHoolboy Q… Let’s take it one step at a time.
T-Pain: The Confirmed One (and the Strangest Exclusion)
Rapper and singer T-Pain revealed during a Twitch livestream—reported by Forbes in January 2024 and reaffirmed in February 2026—that he started working on GTA VI and that Rockstar told him he could no longer roleplay on GTA servers. The reason? His music is being re-recorded without a license on those servers: “What if someone takes your album, re-records it, and people listen to that version?,” they explained to him.
The best part comes next: Rockstar bought FiveM (the platform that makes that roleplay possible) shortly thereafter. T-Pain summed it up sarcastically: “You told me I couldn’t do this… and then you team up with the people who make it possible?” 😅 His exact role (a song, his own radio station) hasn’t been confirmed, but he’s definitely in the game.
Travis Scott: The Suspicious License Plate
In his music video for “2000 Excursion” (July 2025), at 3:55 a car appears with a Florida license plate that reads “GTA VI6.” The internet went wild: a nod, a teaser, or a coincidence? Nothing has been confirmed by Rockstar or by him.
And here’s where the controversy comes in: part of the community threatened not to buy the game if Travis Scott appeared in it, recalling the tragedy at the Astroworld festival (2021). It’s pure speculation, but the debate rages on.
DJ Khaled: The One Who Fits All Too Well
A well-known leaker claimed in February 2025 that DJ Khaled will host his own radio station in the game. Why does this make so much sense? Because Khaled was a real-life radio host in Miami, and GTA VI is set in Vice City (the fictional Miami). The collaboration practically writes itself… but it’s still just a rumor.
Anyone else?
- ScHoolboy Q: He said on social media that his music will be in the game.
- Panama and Neon Indian: They confirmed new tracks for the soundtrack.
- Drake: Rumored to have his own radio station (third-party comment, unconfirmed).
Our verdict: plausible. T-Pain is confirmed; the rest range from “very likely” (DJ Khaled) to “just an Easter egg” (Travis Scott). And keep an eye out: the third trailer is coming soon (summer 2026) and could either confirm or debunk any of these names. Check out our theories about the third trailer while you wait.
Who do you want as a radio host in Vice City? We know exactly who we want. Share your thoughts in the community. 🎙️
