Legal notice and fan-made disclaimer
1. Nature of the site
Leonida Bay (the "Site") is an independent, unofficial fan website, not run for profit, that reports on, comments on and analyses the video game Grand Theft Auto VI and its universe. The Site is not affiliated with, associated with, authorized, sponsored or endorsed in any way by Rockstar Games, Inc., Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., or any of their subsidiaries, parent companies or licensees (the "Rights Holders"). We are not an official source, nor do we speak on behalf of the Rights Holders. The name "Leonida Bay" refers to the game's setting only to say what the site is about: it is not a Rockstar Games product, service or channel. Official information is at rockstargames.com.
2. Third-party intellectual property
"Grand Theft Auto", "GTA" and their logos are trademarks of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., and "Rockstar Games" and its logo are trademarks of their owner. The game's names, characters, settings, images, videos, music and other elements are the property of their respective owners. The Site mentions them on a nominative basis, to identify the game it talks about, for the purposes of information, commentary, criticism and review, with no intention of creating confusion as to their origin or of taking advantage of their reputation. We do not use the game's official logos as our own brand.
The game material shown on the Site consists of frames from the official videos and promotional art published by Rockstar Games, always credited (© Rockstar Games) and only as far as needed to illustrate news, analysis and comparisons (articles 32 and 35 of the Spanish Intellectual Property Act). We do not host or offer the full trailers for download: they play through YouTube's player. Using these materials does not imply any claim of ownership over them.
3. The Site's original content
The artwork, illustrations, posters, design, editorial texts, and other resources created by the Site are original works inspired by an aesthetic (1980s / synthwave) and by the franchise as a fan tribute. Where a resource incorporates references, names, or logos from the franchise, said trademarks belong to their respective owners (see section 2) and are used on a nominative basis, as a tribute, without implying any affiliation or official endorsement. We do not offer downloads of material owned by the Rights Holders.
4. Third-party content
Some sections use or link to third-party resources, always with visible credit: State of Leonida's map data and tiles (with their permission), real-life photos from Wikimedia Commons (with author, licence and a link to the original), embedded YouTube videos and, in some news stories, the image published by the outlet or account we cite, credited and linked. AI-generated illustrations are labelled as such. The Site does not control the content of external websites and is not responsible for it. If you hold rights over any of this content and do not agree with its use, write to us and we will act in accordance with section 6.
5. User-generated content
Comments, messages, suggestions and other user contributions are the responsibility of whoever posts them. For that content, the Site acts as a hosting service provider within the meaning of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) and Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act), and has no general obligation to monitor it. Anyone, with or without an account, can tell us about illegal or infringing content, and we remove it diligently as soon as we have actual knowledge of it (see DMCA / Copyright).
6. Content takedown (rights holders)
We respect the Rights Holders' rights. If you represent Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive or any rights holder and want us to change or remove any content, write to contacto@leonidabay.com with the exact URL. If the request comes from Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive about their own material, we will remove it immediately, before reviewing it; any other request is handled with the utmost diligence. We will confirm what we have done. Our intention is to cooperate in good faith, not to harm the Rights Holders.
7. Identification and point of contact
Leonida Bay is a personal fan site run by David González Nuez, a private individual resident in Spain, in a personal capacity and with no economic activity: it has no advertising, shop, donations, paid subscriptions or affiliate links. Contact, and single point of contact for users and authorities under articles 11 and 12 of the Digital Services Act: contacto@leonidabay.com, in Spanish or English. Domain: leonidabay.com. If the Site ever earned income, all the owner details required by article 10 of the LSSI-CE would be published here.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
