Quick answers
Does GTA 6 unlock at the same time worldwide?
No. Each store opens it at midnight on November 19 in its own country's time, so the unlock rolls across the world from east to west: New Zealand and Australia first, Mexico and Central America last.
Do PlayStation 5 and Xbox unlock at the same time?
Yes. In every country with a listing on both stores, PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store give the same moment (checked November 1, 2026).
Does it unlock at midnight in every US time zone?
No. The listings give one time for the whole country: midnight Eastern, which is 9 p.m. Pacific on November 18. Mexico works the same way, from midnight in the central zone.
When does pre-loading start?
November 12 at local midnight for digital pre-orders, according to Rockstar Support. The boxed version holds a download code and goes on sale that day.
Has Rockstar published an unlock schedule?
No. Rockstar has given the date (November 19, 2026) and the pre-load, but not the hours: the ones on this page come from each store's official listing.
How we checked
We read the GTA VI listing on each country's PlayStation Store (the page shows the date and stores the exact time in its data) and on Microsoft Store, whose time comes from the Microsoft catalog behind xbox.com.
We converted each time to its country's time zone. In every case it lands on midnight on the 19th in the time of the store's capital.
If a store changes the time, we will change it here with the date of the new check.
