Rockstar has the community on the edge of their seats waiting for the third GTA VI trailer, and we all know what happens when fans have too much time on their hands and not enough information: they analyze literally every pixel. Here are the theories that are causing the most buzz, with our credibility meter turned on.

The “Lucia Rat”

Someone zoomed in on an old screenshot of Lucia sitting on a motorcycle through the streets of Vice City and found what looks like a rat on a rooftop above her. In slang, “rat” = traitor. Is this a clue that Lucia will end up betraying Jason? The theory has been circulating for months, and this detail has reignited it.

Our verdict: clever, but take it with a grain of salt. It could very well be just any lump on the roof, not a rat. Rockstar hides Easter eggs, yes, but they also love it when we see things that aren’t there.

Jason’s Biceps

Another classic armchair detective move: comparing two screenshots of Jason side by side. In one, he looks more muscular than in the other. Does that confirm a San Andreas-style gym system, where CJ would gain weight or get buff depending on what you ate and how you trained?

Our verdict: possible, but weak as evidence. Lighting and angle can drastically change how a body looks between two photos. The return of “RPG-lite” mechanics would be great news; proving it with just two screenshots, not so much.

And the craziest one: Jason and Arthur Morgan?

There’s no shortage of people who’ve linked Jason to Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2 in a wild crossover. This is getting into fan fiction territory, but hey, that’s what theories are for.
