What weapons have been seen in GTA 6?

First note: The “list of 16 revealed weapons” that circulated in the press in July 2026 is not an announcement from Rockstar—it’s a tally compiled by the media based on the trailers. The original article itself admits that there is no official list. What follows is what has been identified in official material, separate from what was leaked.

The protagonists’ two handguns already have their own fictional names and brands, following the series’ tradition: Jason’s Girardi ES9 (inspired by the Beretta 92FS) and Lucia’s Klose K17 (inspired by the Glock 17). Both will have exclusive custom versions in the Ultimate Edition.

The trailers also feature: an AK-style assault rifle (the most frequently seen weapon in all the footage), a red, white, and blue rifle in the Ammu-Nation store scene, an M249-style light machine gun, an MP5-style submachine gun, and two shotguns (one with a sliding action and one with twin barrels and a wood finish, very much in the Deep South style of Leonida). Melee combat has a Florida feel to it: a bat, a hammer, a crowbar, a pool cue, and even a mini-golf club.

The most important detail is official, from the pre-order Newswire (June 2026): every personal garage will have a weapons rack where you can configure which weapons you carry. Gone are the days of the infinite arsenal in your pocket from GTA V—GTA 6 adopts the limited equipment system from Red Dead Redemption 2. There will also be a fence to sell stolen goods and cosmetic skins for weapons, including a tropical one that pays homage to the shirt worn by Tommy Vercetti, the protagonist of the original Vice City.

The 2022 leak mentions names like the Morgan Revolver, Nipper .38, and Service Carbine, which have never reappeared in official material. They exist in some build of the game, but we’re listing them as a leak, not as confirmed.
