What music and radio stations will GTA 6 feature?

The only confirmed radio station as of today is V-Rock, the hard rock station from the original 1986 Vice City: Jason appears in official footage wearing a T-shirt with its logo. Rockstar has not published any written list of radio stations or tracklists, so everything else comes from analyzing the trailers.

That’s where the six songs confirmed so far come from. From Trailer 1 (December 2023): “Love Is a Long Road” by Tom Petty. From Trailer 2 (May 2025): “Hot Together” by The Pointer Sisters, “Thunder Island” by Jay Ferguson, “Child Support” by Zenglen, “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” by Wang Chung, and “Talkin’ To Myself Again” by Tammy Wynette.

The GTA effect on this music is measurable: “Hot Together” (1986) saw its Spotify streams skyrocket by 182,000% in the two hours following the release of Trailer 2. An almost-forgotten song went viral 39 years later.

There’s a seventh track in the air: in the Ammu-Nation store scene from Trailer 2, something that sounds very similar to Joan Jett’s “I Love Rock N Roll” plays, but sources can’t agree on whether it’s the actual version, so we’re not counting it as confirmed.

In the realm of rumors: there’s talk of a dynamic music system that would change depending on the area, the time of day, and the intensity of the action (attributed to “industry sources,” with no official citation), and several artists have hinted at their involvement on social media—T-Pain, Neon Indian, ScHoolboy Q, and Panama, among others. Rockstar hasn’t confirmed any of this.

A final tidbit: the GTA 6 music campaign got off to a rocky start. Trailer 1 was leaked hours early on X, and Rockstar had to rush to release it. It didn’t matter: it broke three Guinness World Records in 24 hours, with 90.4 million views.
