Confusion amid all these leaks? Here, we separate what’s been officially confirmed from what’s just a rumor about GTA VI, and we update this as information from Rockstar becomes available. Last updated: June 29, 2026.

GTA VI is coming out on November 19, 2026 exclusively on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval as the protagonists in the state of Leonida. Everything else (PC version, map size, Trailer 3) remains unconfirmed. Here’s the clean, smoke-free list.

• Release Date: November 19, 2026.
• Platforms: PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no version for PS4, Xbox One, or Switch: it’s exclusive to the current generation.
• Price: €79.99 for the Standard Edition and €99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. You can find the full breakdown on the price page.
• Physical box: The retail version comes with a download code, not a disc. It’s a box containing the game to redeem, not to insert into the console.
• Main Characters: Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. Lucia is the first voiced female protagonist in a mainline GTA game.
• Map: the state of Leonida, with Vice City as the central city (areas here and estimated size).
• Pre-order: Open since June 25, 2026, with the Vintage Pack as pre-order content.
• Trailers: two official trailers so far, the first in December 2023 and the second in May 2025. You can find them all compiled on the trailers page.
• GTA Online: The new multiplayer mode won’t be available at launch. It will arrive later.
• Game Pass / PS Plus: It won’t be available on either service at launch. If you want to play it on day one, you’ll have to buy it.

❓ Rumor / Unconfirmed

• PC version: It’s widely expected based on Rockstar’s track record, but there’s no official announcement. It will most likely arrive between 2027 and 2028, as was the case with GTA V. No specific date has been given.
• Exact map size: Rumors suggest it’s about 2 or 3 times the size of GTA V. This is a community estimate, not official data from Rockstar. We’ve summarized what is known on the map page.
• Trailer 3: Marketing is expected to ramp up in the summer of 2026, but no date has been announced. When it drops, you’ll see it first on the trailers page.
• Physical Collector’s Edition: Neither announced nor ruled out. For now, only Standard and Ultimate editions are confirmed.
• Disc Edition in December: This rumor circulated and was denied. Don’t expect a disc version after launch.
• Exact Voice Actors: The community has suggested names for Lucia and Jason, but Rockstar hasn’t confirmed them.

Can I play GTA VI on my PS4 or Xbox One? No. GTA VI is coming exclusively to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Previous-generation consoles are left out, as is the Switch. You can find the details on the PS4/Xbox One page. If you’re still using one of those consoles, you’ll need to upgrade to the current generation to play it.

Will it be available on Game Pass or PS Plus on launch day? No. At launch, it won’t be available on Game Pass or in the PS Plus catalog. To play it on November 19, you’ll have to buy it (€79.99 or €99.99). We explain this in the Game Pass and PS Plus overview. It’s possible it might appear on one of these services later, but right now that’s just speculation.

Does the physical box include the game on a disc? Not exactly. The physical edition is a box containing a download code, not a disc you insert into the console. You’ll still have to download the game. Rumors of a disc edition coming later were denied, so don’t count on it.
